Hey guys, Im going to run a carb intake on my 5.9 magnum engine and was wondering what popular opinion is on which one is best. I'm gonna scrap the serpintine stuff and stay with the classic look and I'm thinking an edlebrock air gap but have heard only the crosswinds intake has the proper location holes for the brackets and accessories for running the old school stuff. I appreciate any info and opinions on the subject and thank you all. Clay

the magnum airgap rpm intake can be had for the magnum intake bolt pattern as well as the old LA style heads. they cost about the same.

crosswind has some issues from what I have read and are a poor intake as for fit.

I have run the airgapRPM on a SB and just went RPM on my 440 truck.great throttle responce and torque.

You dont have much choice. RPM, M1, or Crosswind unless you drill the heads for LA intakes

I would do the air gap rpm intake. I think it will work so long as you don't run a/c.

I have both The Crosswinds & the Edelbrock Air-Gap
The Crosswinds I've used 6 of the so far & still own 2 one of them with 45K trouble free miles
They work perfect when using a RV2 & v belt accessory drive with NO mods the anything

The Edelbrock fits with serpentine drive the best but requires spacers to be made to make the brackets bolt on & be used

The Crosswinds is $100+ cheaper new

Bouchillion kickdown kit & throttle cable bracket work great for both no matter what carb you put on it
