I deleted my old post as I worded it wrong.
Please Share you upgrade if you went from one manufacter to another and if you gained and why you changed. I am thinking of changing my convertor for the 3 time and looking at different companies.

I've had 3 different conv over the years... Coan was
WAY to tight and it stalled way too low, went to a
Transmission Specialty conv and that was too loose
for my set up and then put in a Turbo action which
was VERY close... I has a T/A in the Rampage but I'm
not sure about it yet

I ran the old MP 175 and it was a good converter, but as I got more into the drag racing scene. I went with PTC.

I hae been tickled pink with them. I have bought three converters from them.

I currently run 3200stall 10" in my Dodge, and it works well, tight when around town, but flashes about 4400, when I get squirrly!

I also have ran one of their 9.5 converters on my old 1970 Dodge and it was a 4200 stall and people couldn't beleive how well it drove on the street.

If you race with a 904/727, ATI is the only place to go. Dyno

I`ve tried several cheap verts over the years then hooked up w/Continental here in Calif. and never looked back. First was a 10" for my high 11-sec small-block which worked good but wasn`t ideal behind my 10.40 big-block so Cont. hooked me up w/the 8"5000+ vert I`ve run for 10+ years now and it seems to be working well but I havn`t tried anything else to compare it to.............lots of west coast bad ass street racers run the Cont. verts w/great success.

I've had a bunch of different converters over the years of racing and helping other racers, BUY a good one, DON'T SKIMP I had Continental build me a custom 10 inch street and strip for my Duster off of a dyno sheet, it went fast but it didn't have much foot stall RPM,2300 RPM or under only I hopped the motor up quite a bit, went from running mid to high tens to low tens and ended up destroying that converter I had a new T/A 8 inch SS/AH converter as well as a new T/A 069J nine inch SS/AH converter, I had tested the nine inch before breaking the ten inch but I ended up breaking the rear end when the nine inch was in the car so I sent it back to Paul at T/A to have it check out. I put the 8 inch T/A in my car and it picked it up .2 ET and almost 3 MPH in the 1/8 mile compared to the 10 inch The T/A 8 inch will foot stall above 3500 RPM and the old ten inch would slide the skinny front tires through the staging beams at or above 2300 RPM IHTHs More info on your intended use and parts combination might help us give you more information, converters are a lot like women, there are good ones and there are terrible ones and there are others in between Paul Rossi told me years ago at Orange County one night when he was testing converters that converters are like women, once you get a good one, hold onto it and treat it real good Works for me 47 years with my wife and a bunch of different converters, some went with cars I sold, some I destroyed and some got sold, technology changes so stay with the times

Just my 2 cents: I'm guessing he found the internal secret to mph-perhaps that is his claim to fame and why he's building the best converters on the mkt today with outstanding customer service.
Give him a call and see for yourself...

Went from a TA J converter to a PTC custom one. GREAT results from the PTC as long as it held together. I went through 7 of them in a year - don't ask. Kenny has great customer service, but man was it frustrating. Upgraded from that to an ATI. I only had a few passes on it before parking the car, but it seemed to perform similar to the PTC and I haven't had to pull the trans out.
