I was trying to install my 67 Barracuda notchback rear window, and the glass is too small it will fall thru the window opening. I know 67s came with rubber weatherstrippiung and no stainless moldings.

I was wondering the 67 glass due to it coming installed with a weather strip or rubber molding is smaller than the 68-69 windows?

I have been told nobody makes the 67 window mounting weatherstrip or rubber.

I wanted to install it with no weatherstrip, just a rubber strip, silicone and put the rear moldings I got off a later model car.

Need the weatherstrip and yes it isn't available, most switch to 68-9 weatherstrip. 68-9 stuff is readily available, the only tough part is finding the trim.

The rubber seal takes up the space. The glass fits inside the opening, not over it.

sure thats how it fits.....but then the 68-69s are also that way?

I thought that since they used the trim theoy would mount like the way an E body rear glass mounts. Where they rest on top of the flanges, and rou have to put a rubber caulk in between the flanges and the glass.

So the 68-69 weatherstrip is available???? and how does it differ then from the 67?

the 67 used a chromed plastic lockstrip, that was your "bright trim" around the window.
The 68-69 uses a rubber lockstrip and stainless trim that attaches to the car like "normal" trim does.
No caulk/butyl is used to attach the A body windows.

67 NB rear glass is more curved than 68-9, too many complaints caused the design shape.

Welcome, you see distortion in the rear view mirror. Had a 67 NB back in the day, my friend HemiJim owns it now.

I called Dantes parts and the 68.69 wstripping is 170 bucks!!!! ouch!!!!

This is for my race car, I would not want to spend that much.

I tried to use some local weatherstrips or windshield installation rubber strips, and none would work, they were too thick and it was impossible to get the glass to mount!!!

I'm not sure why you are having a problem. The back glass in my 67 is original to the car. The rubber and trim is from a junk 68-9 coupe with its back window broken out. Did the swap 20 yrs ago, but everything fit.
