I can't see the gear in the picture so maybe shoot at a different angle... Here this link may help... The brass colored part on the shaft is what I was referring to as a gear, but now I see this does not turn. I have attached a picture of the "gear" and the shaft. I suppose any small spring will work for this. It looks like there is a groove for a C-clip in the shaft, I would guess this is to keep the shaft from coming out of the housing?
