WOW got a bunch of good information from a few of you fellows in PM's. Have a line on a possible good core will know better soon. Jules and Bill Alphin are as always top notch!! My budget will slow me down some, may have to just wear "LONG JOHNS"!!!!

Friend of mine and local guy does quite a nice job. Takes everything apart, new heater core, they come out pretty amazing. He specializes in 66-70 B bodies. One pictured is a 68-69, 70's have a different hose inlet size and different part number. His prices are $575 without core and $500 with a nice buildable core. I have never seen Jules heater boxes, I am sure they are amazing, but these are far better than the other guys who do them at Carlisle for a couple hundred more. I can forward you his info if you are ever interested. Rick.

My 2 cents, they are not 'hard ' to do, but more time consuming than most people think.
'Very' dependent on how far down you take it, figure somewhere in the 9-12 hour range.
Also, another small detail to consider is most of the re-builders out there seem to be using standard blind rivets, originals were a tube stye rivet that attached all the exterior components. They require a tad more effort to re-install. Again it all depends on what the customer requires in a finished product
One I just finished for a customer Superbird.

I did mine last year for my 69 r/t. It can be time consuming, but what isnt when you are restoring a car? I didnt use tube rivets because I guess Im anal, but not that anal about fasteners for something under the dash.
