I have never used their kit but it appears they don't have a parking brake provision hence why they are so cheap.

Nothing wrong with that but I wouldn't want a street car without a parking/e-brake!

I myself used the SSBC kit on my 8.75 rear and it was pretty easy to do and seems fairly high quality. It will set you back around $600 or so though...

Also make sure you change out your factory proportioning valve under the master cylinder to bias the rear brakes less or the rear will tend to lock up too easily. You can use an adjustable one they provide you but I went with the GM style unit from inlinetube.com which is biased properly for a 4 wheel disc setup!

Good Luck!

Curious too, that price is crazy cheap, wonder if it's a complete kit as is.

Wow that is cheap. The only thing is that this kit still doesn't address the proportioning valve issue. This you will need to purchase seperately...either repalce it or add the adjustable one in-line on the rear brake line.

Heck, I still have to one I got in my SSBC brake kit (adjustable) if you are interested...never used as I just bought the GM unit and replaced the whole thing.

I have the set with the parking brake. The only issue I have with the kit is that a factory 15x7 Ralley wheel wont fit over these brakes. Factory steel and most aftermarket will work.

Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen! Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!

Whoa, that's an issue as mine has 15 x 7 Rallyes. They're reproductions but they're 15 x 7. Guess I'll have to do a little more digging....

Any pics? Is the rotor actually 11"?
Most of these kits like to creatively round up the size.
I have 18" rims and the huge finned 11" drum (actually 13" OD) looks good behind a larger rim.
Nothing worse than a puny rotor behind a large rim. IMO

A true 11" rotor would be nice. Although, as noted you'd really need the proportioning valve.

None of the "cheap" rear disc brake kits that use GM metric calipers fit Magnum or Rallye wheels.

That is one reason I developed my own rear disc brake kits.
