the compression readings tell me the long block is healthy, the dist has been swapped, all that is left is the intake/carb (vac leak) & plugs/wires & if the plugs/wires are good & if sure of no vac leaks then that only leaves the carb & if this is this the infamous eddy 1407 . I would pull the top off & see what you see & maybe take it apart & spray it with a cleaner then blow it clean with shop air. Holler how things turn out. EDIT does it have the same ECU when you switched ignitions? What color is it?

The top bushing in the distributor is good no play?? Firing order is right? Distributor cap new and check for dizzy shaft moving up and down. may need a dizzy collar to stop pump drive gear from jumping up and down have another carb to try look at the step up springs with it running to see if they are bouncing up and down. vacuum advance is on ported vacuum better yet disconnected till it's sorted out. you sure no vacuum leaks underneath intake. just some places to look if the timing chain is tight!

Have you confirmed that the damper ring hasnt slipped and the timing isnt where you actually think it is? Confirm the zero mark on the damper with TDC on cylinder #1?
This sounds more like a timing/ignition/firing issue.
Good battery voltage?

Didn't check the ballist yet, but did run 12 volt direct to coil to try it but no difference. It's not like it sat for a couple months and now not running good. It was running great one day, then the very next day it went to hell. Also I did check the dampner.. within about 2 degrees.

try spraying carb cleaner while its running & see if it smooths out,if it does, then vac leak or the carb,i am betting on a carb problem

Tried that the other day and it wanted to die. Did not help, only made it worse.

new clear filter, complete line has blown out when tank was dropped. I know it does it at idle to 3000RPMs while sitting in the garage. Will drive it on the highway today. Sure does suck to get it back after 7 years just to have it sitting

while its running look down the carb & see if you can see fuel dripping

I'm guessing you want me to check to make sure there is fuel coming only from where is is supposed to? I'll check that later today as well.
