Does anyone know if someone makes a rear window defogger/rear speaker mount. I thought i seen one at a car show. If so, were these an option? thanks!

www.beaparts.com makes an offset defogger adapter assembly. Allows you to run a speaker there and the blower motor.

It was not an stand-alone option per se. When you ordered the rear defogger and the rear stereo speakers, you automatically got the adapter, which was required to make 2 items function with one hole. I've had one on my Challenger since I found the part used back in the 70's. It's a real slick part that alot of my Mopar buddies weren't even aware existed until I showed it to them. They came in other cars besides E-bodies. I've seen them in C-bodies, but don't know what else they came in.
By the way, I'm told that the proper positioning is for the blower motor to be directly under the speaker grill, and the speaker to be offset to the rear. Supposedly to keep from drawing the air over the speaker, possibly distorting the speaker sound if both were in operation at the same time.
Don't know if that was the real reason or not, but that's the way I run mine.

I knew about the C-body thing, but do you know what model's and years? I'd greatly appreciate it!
Not really sure what years. My buddy had an Imperial a few years ago that had one in it. I'm guessing the Imp was definitely a 70's model, probably 72-74 vintage.

Never came on an A-body but I run one. Little tight and I found some understructure to connect the support on the other end to.
I'd think having the speaker offset would create sound loss/distortion? But I had to run an extension on the ducting to get it to reach.
Don't need rear defog in So Cal very much. So I don't have it connected. But ran it when I lived in Iowa and used some speakers I have laying around. I don't even have the radio hooked up now.

I've had the speaker in the offset position for years, with absolutely no sound distortion...
