'71 was Ronnie Sox in a Plymouth, and Petty in a Plymouth. 1970 was Sox in a Plymouth, and Bobby Isaac in a Dodge. EDIT: Richard Petty won in 1974 with a Dodge, and Larry Huff won AHRA with a Dodge.

It took a Dodge to finally get Penske a championship and that isnt gonna be taken litely by anyone. They pulled support from the Truck series after back to back championships so its nothing new. Maybe they will put some money in their Gen III Hemi program for you and me..... Mopar to the bone!!!

Ford throws insane money at Penske to switch,and who else is out there for Dodge to have as a contender for the cup races next year?? Furniture Row? Who else? I wouldn't spend or throw money to any team unless they would be a serious contender for the championship,and Dodge saw none that were avalable,so they said no.Don't think that's stupid,I think it's smart. And Dodge/Mopar won 3 championships with Jack Beckman winning funny car. Nautilus Racing- We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.

Congrats to Brad Keselowski for bringing a Dodge to the Championship! So few Dodges run each week, it is amazing that a Dodge won the season championship. I hope Dodge/Mopar will get back in the action after their planned absence next season.

I used to watch some of the truck races when the Dodges were competitive and winning it was cool. Congrats to Penske you had a good /competitive/ Winning Dodge I hope all the money Ford threw at you was worth it! That means more than any driver or owner. Brand affiliation, I could care less who drives! He will jump ship at the drop of the hat.
