70 bee. I bought nos 440 callouts for it that look as if they are a wedge fit. The prongs have a plastic looking material on them that widens near the base of the emblem. They are slightly too big for the holes and I'm guessing the fresh paint is a lot of that, but it looks like I'd still need to drill the holes some to get them started. Factory scoops btw. Anyone installed these have any advice as I don't want to mess up the scoops or the emblems?

the plastic inserts go in first then insert the emblem , if the hole is full of paint you need to clean that out.

I wouldn't drill them out! Use a small detail file. File the hole to fit the plastic barrel with a light snug, when the emblem is inserted, it'll tighten up. Don't file outward and don't make the barrel too tight, you could crack the gelcoat or chip the paint. Before you file anything, check to make sure the pins on the emblem line up with the holes exactly. I've had bad luck with repop emblem pin alignment. You have nos, so you should be good.
