The one I have is on a 68 dart and is similar to what was on the the 68 hemi darts and barracudas. It is just stuck on (I am suprised at how well it adhered to the hood) with a strip of double sided tape to a hood I made of aluminum. Since the hood is made of aluminum I can't get super rough with it. I would appreciate any suggestions on a gentle method of making the tape release fairly easy without damaging the hood. The hood is not painted so I think the use of a release agent would be ok.

Thanks

Roger

You try cutting through the tape with fishing line or floss ?

You can use a solvent like lacquer thinner, and use little shims as you work it off (to keep it from sticking back down).

Use a heat gun, heat a bit at a time and it should come of without causing any damage. I have removed those cheap tape on scoops before without hurting the paint underneath this way.
