Does anyone use a tire cleaner or shine that "DOES NOT LEAVE A WET OILY LOOK"I am looking for something that just makes tires look new.

Thanks in advance

Sure: Soap, water, sponge, rinse.

If you have some of that old "tire oil" on there it will take a few washes to completely get rid of it.

Tire shine is the worst offender for wax holes in our paint shop. I HATE IT.

the best tire cleaner is bleach white. If you want to add some shine to it I like Mequiare's Hyper dressing. Cut it with water to your desired gloss.

I use the purple cleaner to clean the tires and the 2001 top dressing. They look like new but no oily/clear painted look..

I am truckless..

I like the bleach white product as well. cleans away all the brake dust, road grime, grease, oil, etc. spray it on, use a stiff brush to work it into a big soapy lather, let it sit a few minutes, spray again with the bleach white, another quick wipe (incase the lather started to dry) then hose it off.

tires will dry and have that flat black, clean new look to them, and your white letters/stripes will be stark white.

When I wipe the car down with Meguiars detailer I do the tires also. It cleans the dirt off and keeps them black without being too glossy.

2x for this right here. use to find the weastlys spray silicone tire shine that would look like armorall but dirt/sand would dust off with a rag. (try that with armorall)

but the clean dry rubber look is nice with weastly tire bleach only.

I use the ArmorAll Tire Foam with good results after giving the tires a good scrub with the wash mitt.

Usually try to hit them at least a day before a show or cruise so it has time to dry. Not too shiny IMO.

I also use it on my truck with black running boards. After a wash I hit the tires, wheel wells and running boards. They all turn a nice black which lasts for as long as I go between washes. Makes an 11 year old truck look almost new again.
