I was talking to a tech on the Holley Technical Support line today about the old Muscle Hustle mechanical Six Pack setup I have, and the subject of rebuild kits came up.
The old 37-396 kit for the six pack carbs was discontinued long ago. The superceding number is 37-1537, which runs around $80+ ea. on Summit or Jegs. They are expensive because they have a lot of parts not needed for a Six Pack, they appear to have parts for every carb that Holley ever made.
He told me it was a weird coincidence that I called because they were told in a meeting this morning that the 37-396 kit is being reinstated and should be available for purchase in about 30 days.
So, if you are planning to rebuild your Six Pack, you may want to wait a month or so; it may save you a lot of money.

yikes - i think you'll find this kit has everything you need - Holley 3-396 Carburetor Renew Kit - and they're about $20. is there something in mechanical six pack setup that's THAT different?
Tech says his records show that the Holley mechanical carbs had a different renew kit part number, but they supercede to the same 37-1537 number. He doesn't know what was different about the kits, but figures that the 37-396 may work.
Now I think about it, the factory Six Pack cars had center inlet fuel bowls; the Muscle Hustle carbs have side inlet with the inlet on the driver's side. Bowl gaskets are the same, aren't they? Different needle and seat? If there are differences, should be no problem getting individual parts needed. Better than paying $90 for the big kit.
