Has anyone ever put the steering wheel audio controls in a truck that never came with them. I have a 2012 Ram 3500 and my old truck had the steering wheel audio controls and my new Ram doesn't. Did not realize how much I liked having them! Called the Dodge Dealer were I bought the truck and they called Chrysler for me. Chrysler said it can't be done because there is no kit available to retrofit the truck.

Has anyone done this or know if it can be done. I am thinking if I ordered the parts and had the dealer reprogram the computer to recognize the audio controls it should be possible.

you would have to get all the parts including clockspring/wiring, maybe different radio if not compatible and dealer would have to reconfigure build options. Things like this can get very complicated.
