ok unknown year of K member, spool mounts,72 340 block passenger side bolts up fine, see photo attached of drivers side,
tabs on motor are in front of the mount, its that way on the other 2 cars, is there a chance that the motor ears need to move back(swap sides of the mount?) that would close the gap

318 mount

We utilized those style mounts on my Mirada back in it's small block days. Shimmed that space with washers and it never gave us any fits.

That top back bolt on mine has spacers also

Just wanted to add that a 318 mount fits an R3 and Resto block with no changes. I bought a car that had slant 6 mounts and schumacher adapters for a 340. I had to get the 318 schumacher adapter kit to put my Resto block in it. Sorry if off topic
