Looking for what options I have to keep my Power steering from a Magnum Style accessory set-up.

Here's my dilemma. My Magnum (5.9L) Engine crapped out and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

I just so happen to have a set of W9's and an Intake BIB. They were slated for another project but their spot got filled.

I would like to build an R3 with one of BME's 4.25" stroker cranks and use these heads and keep it around 10.5:1 (street engine)

Only issue I have is where to mount the Power-steering and Idler-tension-Pulley from a Magnum Style setup. W9's don't have the accessory Mounting holes that regular (LA/Magnum) heads have.

I want to put it in a street truck.

I already have a complete Drag Truck in the works.

r3 block doesn't have any holes either. u could use a motor plate & make up ur own mounting system or go with rack & pinion steering.

If you run a motor plate you can mount the steering
bracket on the frame rail... if you do the frame bracket
right you can have the tensioner part of it but I
dont run the tensioner with a motor plate

Magnum style accessories don't mount directly to the block. They mount to a bracket that bolts on top of / around the timing housing. As long as you have the timing cover holes all other accessories can be mounted.

It's the power steering mainly That I have an issue.

I believe I could do away with or relocate the tensioner and get a different size belt to accommodate.

I really don't want to use a plate as this will be going in a street truck that ha motor mounts that will work with an R3 Block.
