67 Valiant ,was a 904 ,with a single wire neutral safety switch. We swapped in the 833 4spd and now we have a "no start" condition. I can kick the starter by touching off the relay, but we have nothing at the key. I even tried hooking up the neutral safety switch and holding it in , but still nothing.
We had this problem before with the 904 and it was the switch and tightening the wire solved it then.
My pedals dont have a switch either, like later models do.
Any ideas?

Ground the wire from the g terminal (NSS TERMINAL)on the starter relay to one of the screws or bolts that you used to mount it.

The relay will not function, if it is not allowed to ground on that lead.

Thanks again! That cured it. We made a new ,short jumper wire and it fired right up.
