Make sure and use a good quality flat washer under all the intake bolts, I do double up them sometimes(3/8 fneder washer and a 3/8 AN washer between the bolt and fender washer ) if the manifold bolts have been elongated or hogged out bigger

Some intakes are just plain tough to tq the inside bolts. I'm curious how some of you have done this, Maybe a crow's foot? I have owned intakes that you can't get a socket on, yet alone an extention and tq wrench

I use a 3/8 drive crowsfoot(actually not a true crowsfoot, they are box ends. See the picture) I need two more,3/8 and a 7 1/6. I have a 1/2 inch, 9/16 for B and RB intake bolts and a 5/8 for the intake valley head studs on the 426 Hemiroids. If you use these you need to do the math when adding extension onto the end of the torque wrench

Ive never torqued a BB intake.I use a 3/8s ratchet or a box wrench.Just get them to where they feel tight and it good.Ive been doing them since the 60s though. My aluminum I run a bit less than the factory though.Rocky
