I saw a /6 727 van back in the day & it had an adapter to go to a big block pattern!

No, slant 6, small blocks and big blocks all have their own bell bolt pattern.

Also I believe the A100 vans use an odd transmission mount that mounts to the top of the tailshaft instead of the bottom. It might be tough to find a small block 727 for a van since the 6 is way more common.

You will need to find OE or modify your /6 motor mounts.
You will also need a set of V8 brackets.

If it was a pre-66, it could have had the thick adapter for the /6 to a SBM 727. A 67 will have a /6 727. So you will need to find a short tail SBM 727 and swap your current tail housing OR find an A-100 V8 trans.
The throttle linkage is different too, along with the 'kickdown' linkage.

Since you are not displaying a state in your location, I can't answer that meaningfully, but in states with titles, the OWNER holds title, not the state.

Okay, so once you have it in your name, have a trans that will bolt up to your 360 and have mounts and linkages figured out, then you need to consider the front cover/water pump/harmonic balancer.
Also look into getting the radiator and gas tank in top shape. They both tend to be worn and gunked up by this time.
You will probably want to upgrade the ball and trunnion drive shaft too.
A 1967 should have the dual master cylinder, so that is a plus. Don't forget wiring changes and exhaust.

I have a /6 one and it's as peppy as needed considering the suspension, steering and brakes.
I will be putting a 360 in my other one, but only after addressing all the support systems.

Those pictures are both from the Yahoo A-100 group.
Plenty of info, but a bit slow.
There is also the Vintage-Vans site.
Sweptline.org also has a corner for A-100s. Also slow...

No, IF your current van has a /6 with a 727 AND the adapter, the trans without the adapter will bolt up to a 360. However, the 360 is external balanced, which brings up the front stuff mentioned, and you need to find a flexplate/converter setup that is offset weight and will fit both the trans and the engine.
