Hey guys,

I want to run a small 1 gallon fuel cell in my scamp to throw in some race fuel for when I spray it. Problem is im trying to decide where the heck I could mount the thing as these mopar shelf fenders aren't exactly helpful in that regard it seems.

If anyone has any pics of a front mounted fuel cell in stock chassis car (seen lots of tube chassis car pics, they don't help) with the stock inner fenders still in tact, please post them up as it would be a great help

Thanks

Hey buddy! I'm looking at doing the same thing with the Duster. Thinking of going in the wheel well area of the drivers side and making a hole in the inner fender for the fill hole on the cell. Haven't decided yet

I thought of doing something like, just wondering if it there is the room in there for it?

To be honest I was thinking about running the cell itself on the inside of the engine bay on the driver side as I seem to have more room there than anywhere else...but I have to do some measuring tomorrow and see. Was just going to use one of those nitrous cells that summit or jegs sells...but if that won't work maybe fab something up

you dont need a full gallon, get one for a JR dragster, maybe 2 qts. Just put a bigger bulkhead fitting in it for the pickup on the bottom.

I thought of using one of those, but I thought they would be too small...Also wasn't sure about modifying the pickup, but its definitely a good idea

I like where you have that mounted...I wonder how a plastic cell would fit in there

A small one would be real easy to fit in there.

This mine

The pickup is in the bottom. That is the return line in the top.

no way would i wana fuel tank at the nose unless the car is moving only backwards, just too dangerous if a mishap should occur and surrounded by all that heat

I should convert my Bug catcher efi to this style to be legal...Looks very nice and a clean install. Is the front tank a surge tank, and you still have a fuel cell in the trunk correct? And I assume the solenoid near the firewall is for priming it?

Here is the transfer/surge tank I fabbed up for the cuda when I went to injection. I had no room to speak of under the hood for a 3 gallon cell. I made this one to go under the passenger fenderwell that gravity feeds my belt driven pump. I just transfer from the rear to the front one with a electric pump and the holley float bowl regulates the fuel level in this tank. I think you could very easily make it to where you fill it up in the engine compartment and fit your needs. HTH Beep

its a surge or tansfer tank with a holley fuel bowl to regulate it like big beeps it gravity frd the mechanical drive pump. the soliniod on the firewall is for the nitrous purge
