I guess you know the original stripe was painted. As for the color, my 67 Charger was originally bright blue metallic with a navy blue interior and had a white stripe. Apparently three other stripe colors were available at least in the 67 model year (got this from Alaskan T/A's web site): Edit: I see that this still doesn't answer your question, as it doesn't say whether any of the stripe colors were available only with certain of the body colors, or whether any body color could have had any color stripe.

Yes, I had already checked there and I own a 1966 Dodge Dealer Data Book and they only mention it as a standard feature. I am guessing the info I seek was in the confidential dealer pricing and ordering info.

Mine is a Black BB car, red interior and has a red pin stripe. Still on the car and will be replaced when it is repainted. It was noted on my Chrysler build card.

Thanks. That chart is not in the 1966 info on the same site.
There was a dark blue 66 Charger in my home town when new that had a red roof line stripe and although it doesn't SOUND like it would be appropriate it looked GREAT.

When I sent to Chrysler for the Car Record card the information was decoded by Jon Gibbs on the 66-67 registry http://www.1966-67ChargerRegistry.com . We were trying to figure out the roof stripe and what my fender tag should look like. Here is what he told me " Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the quick scan. On the punch card, there are 80 rows and 12 columns when you orient it the long way top to bottom.
Columns are ordered like this: 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - 0 - 11 - 12
If you look at row 61 out of 80, which is the row that goes through the 'U' in "POWER EQUIPMENT", you will see two punches. One in column 8, and one in coulmn 12.
This decides to an 'H' in the alphabet for red roof stripes.
12 & 1 is A 12 & 2 is B 12 & 3 is C 12 & 4 is D, etc.
So your fender tag should read BB1HQ under the PAINT section".
Hope this helps "
