Citron Yellow is somewhat rare, there aren't any breakdowns of numbers really on how many cars were made in what color. The stripes are the standard 340 stripes that go from the front fender to the rear quarter panel with "340" on the rear quarter panels (No swirl in the stripe that was 1972) and the tail lamp stripes (racoon stripes) go around the tail lamps and rear panel with a Duster decal with cloud figure. The car would have 14 inch wheels and the never came with 15's. fenders rolled, either someone did that over the years or they just appear that way... "U" code is the destination USA E=Export, C=Canada.

"So if its not coded V24 on the fender tag for the black hood it would just have a flat painted hood?" Actually it would be a body colored hood
the V24 is the orgonosal (semi flat) black hood with wedge decal.

I don't think they used "E", instead they used "I"
I'm guessing for International.

Out of curiosity, were there any V24 hood treatments on a 1972 Duster 340? (Sorry to hijack this thread but I had always wanted to know.)

I always wondered about 72 Dusters since I took this picture in 1986 of a car that was for sale in Skokie, IL. My 72 is in the background...
