JohnRR I Win Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 74,978 U.S.S.A.	The only hemi specific waterpump housing was on the A990 and possibly the 68 A bodies and it's made of aluminum . Not sure about your early number but a 987 housing will be found on all big blocks .

6PakBee I Live Here Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 10,707 North Dakota	According to an old NHOA chart, the 2780987 casting number housing was used on '67-'71 Hemi's. '66 used 2468007. Earlier than this is a real mish mash. "We live in a time when intelligent people are being silenced so that stupid people won't be offended".

az426john mopar A Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 493 Arizona	Thanks for the information. I just went out and checked the casting numbers on a water pump housing I have in storage and it is 2468007. I was going to give it to a buddy of mine to use on a 440 car, but I think I will keep it now.

az426john mopar A Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 493 Arizona	Thanks guys. The water temperature sending unit is in the wrong place for a 69 so we will find him one for a 67 - 69 "B" motor. It is for the infamous "General Lee" conversion so no date coding required. It is already built from parts so it is bad enough already. Thanks for your continuing support.
