This is so simply I'm almost embarassed to ask. On my 70 Roadrunner front bench seat - aren't the center belts (the ones attaching to the tunnel) supposed to go THRU the lower seat upholstery as opposed to just lying on top of it? The belts have a plastic grommet bezel thing and I'm about ready to stick a knife thru the new seat cover but... I'm sure someone here has an answer and/or photo to help me out. Thanks in advance... Mike

on my 69 the belts just lay between the bench and the back (correct??) i believe on a 70 they went through it and there are plastic oval pieces that cover the slit.

Yes, I've got those plastic oval shaped bezels on my belts and don't know where to slice the seat.

True , most the cars I parted were 68/9 , I did do a low mileage 70 but don't remember if it was or not .
