Anyone have a picture or know what a factory original hood release lever looks like?

I have one but Im not sure what its appearence should be? Mine was painted body color which I know is incorrect so Ive stripped it and need to know what to do with it.

Sorry about the poor quality picture here. I'm not sure what it was treated with when new, but mine just looks like bare metal after 40 years.

I painted mine to get me through the end of the season and when I park it for winter Ill send the lever off to Jules!
