I have a 65 Coronet 500 with a 472 HEMI. It has a stock exhaust system. Plenty of kinks. What kind of heafers would gain the most HP. I will also be going to a 3" Mandrel bent system. The engine was on a dyno and made 650hp and 620 torque. If that helps.
Thanks for any help.

I don't think there's a huge variety to choose from. Look at Hooker, Hedman, and maybe Doug's or Doug Thorley (separate companies) have something. I have Hookers on my Hemi Roadrunner; they're segmented (tubes slip together), so they make a little racket until warm and the left side blocks the starter in and is close enough to warrant a heat blanket on the starter.

What about TTI? I had a set on a 67 Cuda 383 and the y fit very nice?
I heard that TTI didn't make as muchpower as the rest.
Thanks for the reply.

I hate headers. How about having your manifolds Extrude Honed?

I run the TTI 2-1/8 primary tubes on my 528 Hemi in a 69 Sat. Perfect fit, easiest headers I have ever put on. No dents or dings. Some may recommend 2-1/4, but if you are running full 3" exhaust, 2-1/8 is plenty. I will never buy Hooker again, their quality has sucked for years.

ditto that. I have 2/14" headers on the hemi in my 69 roadrunner and they fit perfectly which is saying something because it's a tight fit in there.

I agree, Hookers suck. Nothing but trouble out of them. I am so disappointed.

Master, again and still

Hooker's jig is fragged and the ports are all over the place so they have no chance but to leak. If you are going to run it corked up I recommend the best stock exhaust manifolds ever put on a car, you'll gain torque and not lose much topend.

I just install the motor and trans into my 65 coronet.
We used the TTI 2 1/8th and they fit like a glove.
That would be my suggestion.

Dawson Headers used to make VERY nice early B-Body Hemi headers.

Don't know if they are still available.
