Just guessing but from what I have seen with two of these engines in this cube range the RPM band is not really much lower. I know of two and both peak at 8700. FWIW mine made peak power at 8800 with its 3.6" stroke, and is a 4.700 bore. One other tidbit, mine was also tried with less camshaft than it has now and actually made peak power at a HIGHER RPM.

DRAGULA--- never say never,because i bought the motor of my dreams--it was a waaayyyyyy out there deal and with the help of my wife,i was able to by it--i got a 5 yr loan for it,and i busted my butt working hard at my 2nd job and was able to pay it off in 2 years. i thank my wife everyday for her support and money

That's the way us working class folks get anything. A loan and a job. It's the dependable lack of the latter, that has made it tough for 10 years.
