Guys, looking for a pic of the hood latch bracket, plate, or whatever it is called. I am trying to determine if the (3) 1/4-20 fasteners that mount to the vertical support use the same size washers as the (2) that mount to the header panel, or are diffrerent as shown in the pic of the '71 I have attached. Please original cars, or known original fasteners only. And yes, I know that there is a fastener guide for E-bodies.

I just happened to remove mine the other day and noticed that they are different sizes. If I recall correctly, the two that mount to the header panel have larger washers. If it wasn't almost midnight I'd head out to the garage and measure them for you. If you need measurements, PM me and I can probably do it tomorrow.

I've owned my car since '88, and based on what I saw, I think these parts were in place since new, so I'm fairly sure they are the original fasteners.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, let me know what you find. It seems like there was a mix with some cars getting .75 washers for all (5) of the bolts and some getting (2) .75 at the header, and (3) .63 at the hood latch, but I really don't know for sure. I would like to get it right and was hoping a few mwmbers with original cars woul dchime in.

I checked mine last night. Yup, the two bolts connecting to the header panel have 3/4 inch washers as you stated, and the other three looked to be about 5/8. The two nuts that connect the latch bracket to the radiator support were also 3/4 inch.
