I saw this pic on the dodge charger site and thought it was innovative enough share. The question of where to put front speakers on these particular cars comes up pretty often. I'm not for drilling kickpanels or doors but I never thought of putting them in the fresh air vents. The location seems ok and the guy says a 5 1/4" speaker fits in there. can't imagine it's that visibe. I'm not sure if there would be any ill effects of opening the fresh air vents with those in there but on a one/two season car that prob won't see rain or weather, shouldn't be bad.

it could be pretty nice if combined with decent rear deck speakers, a small set mounted up in center dash where factory one was.

Thanks for sharing this handy bit of info. I have the one front center speaker in my '68 Charger and I was dead set against cutting out the kick panels or door panels to put in front speakers. This is a great alternative to the pitiful one center speaker.

I've put 5.25" or 6" speakers under the front seats of cars before. Sounds fine to me with decent 6x9's in back, you can't see them, and you don't have to hack anything up.

I was thinking that doing what's in your pic...plus these 2 in the vents...and that could make a pretty nice system...near invisible too.

I've had good luck doing the same thing, I agree 100%
