49' Gold Rush all aluminum pulled by a 505 HP Cat FL112 with 6 speed auto with double overdrive. It'll go 124 MPH. Built for the mountains.

I found one like that but a few feet shorter, New they were asking 49k. I deleted a few options and got it to 42k.
This was the reason I posted cause I wanted to see what you all have or and get some ideas.
Keep them coming all

Do you have a dually or what will you be pulling it with ?

Hey Bigdad, do you think a trailer like yours would work with a 2500 Dodge? Too much tounge weight?

I think on short trips a 2500 diesel with a EQ hitch would be fine , BUT ..the dually pulls soooo nice , be hard to ever go back to the single rear wheel now ..

Long trips 500-1000 miles the dually just makes the trip so much more pleasant

IMO

The reason I was asking is because I have a 96 2500 V10 and was thinking about something like what you have when I get the car closer to being done. Just wondered what your insite would have been on this one. Thanks.

I had a 2004 2500 Hemi, I pulled my last 28 foot enclosed on a round trip of 2500 miles with my little shortbox truck and a few other items in inside

tailwind of about 15 mph ..I could run 65-70 with ease going north to Iowa, return trip thru the hills , with a headwind of about 15-20 ..It was awful , constantly up on the wheel , adjusting your throttle pressure so it do no BAAAAWHOOOO!! (downshift ) I said I'd never go long distance like that again ..Short trips you would be ok , long trips ..wrong Highway patrol stops you, "could" be ticketed for being over on GVW most likely if he is having a bad day, or just fought with his wife or boss

You can get by with that truck I'm sure locally with no problem, going to Florida or Ohio ..No

And that would be the part that seals the deal. Because I would more than likely end up doing both of those. Thanks for the feed back. Sorry about the hijack guys.

Got a 48' Haulmark. It's not a Goldrush, but I got it right. Having a dually is the cat's azz for large trailers, but a gooseneck with a dually is the smoothest/most stable thing I've ever pulled. Your V-10 should have the nuts, but having dual wheels is a "must" in my eyes.

I'm sure it will. I've had my setup well over 90 several times, with a 305hp cummins. I haven't had it flat-out, as I don't want to have to explain something like that to a cop.

Thanks guys, I worked hard to buy it.

Don Pedan @Country Motors sold this new to someone in WV in 2002 with a 51' Wildside mini semi. The person had both truck and semi painted red when they were new! Can you amagine what that cost being red and all. He traded it and the trailer back in with 4220 miles and I bought the truck.I already owned the trailer that came from Country Motors also. Don told me it was geared for 124 with a 5th and 6th gear overdrive. Now I realize that doesn't mean that will, but it will do close to that. I took delivery at IRP at a race and drove it home by myself with no trailer. I had it going 105 and it was taching 1200RPM with plenty of petal left. I can blow other semis around when I pass em.

It's a pleasure to drive and very easy,no shifting. I am also very lucky that I have Scott, a crew member that does most of the driving or even my better half so I was as fresh as possible when it came time to drive the race car. Cause beleive me it was non stop at the shop before we left for a race.So I'd get my slept in route.
