Jay, the > goes out and you should see the sharp half round when standing at the rear of the car. As RJS said the ends should sit slightly off-set of the center or latch area, my '69 GTX's was off-set to the passenger's side of center. The sharp half-round or bottom part of the seal is like that to keep water from entering not the other way around. 7355621-DSC04264.JPG (68 downloads)
