Seems the red Aeromotive fuel pump controllers are gone, making way for the black billet fuel pump controllers.

Is it worth swapping out the red controller for the black billet one on a street/strip car? The black controller should be easier on the pump in theory, but I want to hear ALL theories...?

I have two A1000 pumps, both in street vehicles. Put nearly 2500 miles on the one alone last summer. Will it keep the fuel cooler?

I have been TOLD the new black version is easier on the pump life because of the way it varies the pump- Aeromotive's page is down for the controller so I have no way of knowing what is up.
It's not the COLOR of the controller, it's the actual way the controller varies the pump volume/ speed of the motor... that is supposed to have changed.
