X on the blocks, Hemi and 340, indicated heat treat is what I was told years ago at one of the Mopar drag seminars Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

JohnRR I Win Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 75,092 A Banana Republic near you.	I want to say I have seen it on all original gen 2 hemi blocks I have ever seen pictures of . First gen Hemis were assembled by the Marine Division ... so I was told ... I would think considering the low turn out that the 2nd gen were also. If the engine was a marine used engine and was run in salt water with a raw water cooling system I'd keep looking for another.
