Well I finally found the trim rings I have been looking for, came in the mail today, 69 14' brushed NOS #2944161.

They came in their original paper bags, but the bags were not intact at all and while they are NOS they have about 40 years worth of dirt and dust on them.

What would be the best way to clean them up ?

Mild soap and water and a soft sponge. If you need something a bit stronger Simple Green is safe.

What I did for the ones I have (even though they are not NOS) was to clean them up with some tire and rim cleaner first with some warm soapy water and then followed up by some metal polish from meguiars.

Found a pair on ebay 2 months ago and then went to Carslie and found a vender who was pretty sure he had some, I called him and left a messsage with no reply, waited a month and called again, he told be to call back the next day as he had to check, turns out he had a complete set, got them from a dealer in MS back in 77.

So it really was trying hard checking ebay daily and not giving up and a bit of luck.
