Geez you know I'm not sure?? I went to cal tracs first then dropped the SS springs to the cal tracs and monos. I was focused on traction or holding traction so never noticed. But if front and rear of spring are stiffened and at the hit springs have to wind up and arch and the cal track system mostly stops that it would make sense that energy moves you forward faster/sooner but we may be splitting hairs hear as in a couple three 100's???

Anyone switch from super stock springs to the Caltracks split mono leaf find their car reacts quicker?
I thought my car reacted slower with the caltrac's. I have them set in the bottom hole, haven't tried the top hole.

I haven't used Cal Tracs but if the car 60 ft. quicker I would think the reaction time should be quicker I like and use ladder bars when switchig from leaf springs 1.37 60 ft. so far My reaction times are all over the place from -.001 to .637 on the same day, it's h--- to get old At least I'm still driving, having some fun and complaining about my lost skills
LOL!! Me too but I've won more races the past 5 years with less red lights! I've won one race averaging .100 reactions. Hope my new ladder bars and cam bring me around two test days last year with the ladders before I hurt the motor seem to get my reactions .015 to .035 area?? Hope to be back in the next week or two!

Me too! Absolutely no gain. Went to ladder bars, and the difference was like night and day.

By the look of this photo my car likes to rise up a long way before it decides to go forward. I foot brake on a .500 tree and usually cut .600-.620 lights when I just tickle on the stage bulb. So I have to bump in a little deeper but then I'm anywhere from .480 red to .560
Now I have to decide whether to upgrade to Caltracks, ladder bar, 4 link, or tranny brake.
Looks like you need more air... BUT if you think what the Caltrac does(its making a truss) on the back suspension it should help apply the torque.... also you do have alot of rise to the body so stiffer shocks would help IF the track is good and hold... most everyone that I have dealt with say its a much more consistent package but they also tend to say good enough.. thats why they dont know if its quicker in the 60'... they just accept what they have.... it still takes work to get it dialed in.... and in MOST cases it takes a better shock to do it but most dont spend the money to do it... and almost all of them run the Rancho 9000 shocks and most are set at 8 or 9 so they dont have anything left to adjust
