Yeah I fully expect going in that I will get negative comments, I dont care what others think too much though. My car was Butterscotch/white/white with white painted pinstripes that I will be changing to the vinyl non R/T stripes. So it will have plenty of white to break it up. The best looking car I saw was a 71 R/T with hood blackout, black top and black side stripes. Thanks for the comments . I will be honest, it is not my favorite color but knowing that it is a rare color is one of the reasons I have wanted to keep the color. My only other choice is 1969 Q5 which looks awesome with a white top and gut.

Pretty much why I dont post here much. There is not much room to let your hair down and be yourself when you have online trolls looking to massacre you at every post. Thanks to everyone else who actually had something positive to say.
Lighten up Francis....I saw humor, I pointed it out...Didn't mean to offend you...

Years back at the Nats there was a EL5 Duster twister that had the hood black out and white stripes and interior. I thought it looked great.
Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

I was in the same boat, with the same thoughts...I'm glad I kept the original EL5

go with the EL5, it will set you apart from all the other over done high impact colors.
It seems to be one of those colors that pops in the sunlight, but can look drab on a gray day. More of a Medium Impact color, IMO. I love the color and would suggest you go ahead with it.
I think this is a member's car, and it's gorgeous in EL5 :

I'm pretty sure that EL5 wasn't made a high impact (extra cost) color until sometime during the model year.
