65 NSS 500 OP mopar Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 505 Northampton Pa	I just recieved a set of Repalacement belts I bought for my car and the are dated Jan 2012. So I have lost 8 months already on these in NHRA's eyes. Is this normal or did I get Taken. 1965 Coronet 500 340 40+ Passon 4sp 12.90 2.6 60' street tires

When I got them, they said July 2012. While being teched, I told the guy as he reached for the belts to inspect the tag,,"they haven't been made yet". He just laughed and told me about the 3 month deal. If you like drag racing, support your local track.

I was holding off as my current belts are Aug 2010 just ordered and got my new RJS from Summit was hoping to get dated a bit ahead like sept better oct But got July 2012 dam wont get two more summers out of them!

If you don't mind saying. When I ordered new Simpsons new from Summit, they were dated a couple months later than when I got them, but now for a re-cert Simpson wants to give a 20% discount on a $200 set of belts. Yeah, it's got a smallblock.
