Will the floats from any Thermoquad work in any other Thermoquad? Are they fully interchangeable? And what's a good way to test a used float to find out if it's good or not? Is there one? And are brass floats better or nitrophyl?

Floats are all the same. The nitroplyl can get fuel soaked but not all that common.Take them out,let them dry and hold a match to them,if they are fuel soaked they'll burn.Brass work well if you can find them.

I bought the brass at NAPA a few years ago. Lots of carb shops on line.
