Cuda is alive again! But in cruise mode at all RPM's it has what i call a burbble to it, but the slightist tip into the throttle it smooths out, timeing or carb tuning issue, or both, need a little nudge in right direction, holley 900 with power valve 3.5 msd e curve dist. if need more info will try to provide. Thanks

Well the best I can offer with the info given is it's probably a carb issue, unless the cam is big, then it might not be...

too much fuel maybe?

I THINK I know the sound you're referring to. my truck does it when I go closed throttle coasting/downshifting, the exhaust pops and burbles. but as soon as the engine computer goes into "coast down shut off mode" and kills the injectors, the burbling and popping stops.

however, my truck never made the sound at part throttle cruise.

OP,I know that sound well, it is really rich at part throttle cruise. I have a wide ban O2 system on my car, all the Holley Dominator carbs and some of the 850 D.P. carbs. are bad at part throttle, they read 11.2 AFR or so depending on which carb. It is fixable, you need to restrict the idle and part throttle fuel feed and or open up the intermediate air bleeds if it is a three circuit carb. I have restricted the idle and part throttle fule feeds on several of my two and thre circuit 1050 Dominators to .039 on the I.F.F and .059 on the I.F.F.on the two circuit dominator List # 9375 non HP and the same on the 9375 HP as well as opening up the primary intermediate (center) air bleeds to .096 That makes mine idle at 14.8 to 16.3 at 1000 RPM and have 14.3 to 16.1 AFR at 1700 to 2500 RPM, really responcive and nice clean spark plugs all the time now

Ditto.........that`s what I was thinking and I`m messing w/my cruise circuit myself to get rid of the "rich" cruise birble you speek of and my wide band confirms it w/11.2-12.0 afr`s. I`m going to take Rons advice from PC carbs and open up the transfer slot hole .003-.005 to lean out the circuit and go from there.
