Who would offer the best pricing on TTI exhaust? Do they give Moparts Members a discount? Looking for complete from headers to tips for my 72 Demon 340.

It used to be price controlled so it was the same cost no matter where you ordered it from, not sure if still true or not.

I bought a 3 inch set of Hemi manifold to tips from Mancini Raceing. A word of caution. Do not make the same mistake I made, buying before needed. When the year finally came (and I do mean year) to install them, I found out that almost nothing fit. Needed to cut and weld channels in the pipe for torsion bar clearance. The ends of the overaxle pipe did not come close to the valance. Needed to porta power the angles back from tranny. Needless to say, much cutting and rewelding, then recoating. I had enuff time and $'s in them to buy 3 sets. The stuff works, but you need to test fit immediatly after purchase or you are on your own. This has happened with other parts as well. The return policys are all over the place. So much for accumalating parts thru the years.

P.S. The only exhaust system I have seen that fit 1st time everytime, were the pipes from Accurate LTD.

My TTI system fit like a glove; I trimmed about an inch off my H pipe, otherwise it went together like LEGO

...the accurate stuff is good as long as you don't mind the lower performance, compression bends.

Mine fit fine too, just required two small dimples by the frame on one 3" tailpipe

I of course would check price, But I think I would buy from whoever would get them dropped shipped directly to me, either at my business or to my home.

I have three TTI exhaust systems, and one Accurate LTD. All four fit like a glove. Every now and then I hear someone complain about TTI, but so far I've not had a problem.

in the interest of full disclosure, my TTI system was a 2.5" with H pipe using factory HP manifolds and their stainless tips.

I've installed 3 TTi systems - I wouldn't buy anything else

I waited for shipping deals too, or pick up at shows

I guess it is just my bad luck. I don't understand why my set was screwed up. All you guys have had great luck with yours. Seems like when there is a 50/50 chance my chance is always the loser.

But my point of buying parts in advance is correct. If you don't need stuff soon, wait. The return policies of some, are not to be believed. I have many peices that were collected before the resto and guess what? They don't fit or are just plain wrong. And the excuses when you contact some distributors will knock you out. Again when you buy, test fit quickly or be prepared to eat it.

I bought my headers many years ago(at least 10)They hung in the garage foe 3years or more until I ordered the rest of the 2.5" system. When I went to install the system, nothing lined up.The only thing I could figure was I was gonna have to cut the headers apart and reweld them to fit.I hadn't kept my reciept but I decieded to call TTi to get some advice on cutting and welding.I was very politely told to package them up and send them back and they would reweld if needed. The only cost to me was what it cost to ship them.I shipped them out and with in a week Sam called and explained that I had an early set and there were some changes to later headers. He asked what size collectors I was useing and sent me a new set of headers and collectors. They even picked up the return shipping. The new set fit without any issues,no hammering, bending or cutting. I don't know who will give you the best price, but I know their customer service is great. If you have any fitment issues call them BEFORE you hammer, cut or bend

This would be so much easier if I knew what I was doing...

I bought mine direct and picked it up at a show that TTI was attending. I received the show price, no shipping and no tax. I had the system for over a year before installing. The incorrect mufflers were in the kit. Not only did TTI replace with no issues but they shipped out the new parts next day air (not cheep) so I could complete the install. Fit good and loks good too. Thanks TTI

A friend of mine who has two sets of A body TTI tailpipes made several years apart says they are different - they don't run in quite the same place or exit in the same place. Apparently TTI makes running changes every now and then. That might possibly explain why some of you who bought part of the system one year, and then several years later the rest, had problems.

Well, because of all of you guys's positive experience's with TTI. I will be buying my second set. This time for a stock 440 E-Body. But I will test fit them immediaty so any issues will get resolved.

I urge all who buy parts to mock them up soon after delievery so you can correct any issues.

In 2006 I bought TTi tailpipes for my 69 Dart , HUGE waste of money , the did not exit in the stock location and require the mufflers not be mounted from the factory hanger location ...

FWIW I know this is not the case in your A bodys. In 1998-99? or so when I bought my first TTI system for 340 E body I could not get the H pipe to fit right. I let it sit for few weeks and a friend came over and said let's check them out. Come to find out that day each pipe end was stamped with real small numbers and you match them up to each other. The numbers were real small back then and they hard to see. After we matched up all the numbers it fit great. It could go togeather more than one way but not fit right. My

BTW those same headers, pipes, mufflers and tips are still on the car almost 14 years later. That has to be a good value. And yes I drive this car a lot nowadays and you know it's been to Bonneville twice in the salt.
