i still have a Race Green Cover pressure plate, it is cupped and needs to be surfaced.

local shops don't want to take it apart.

can i do it?

do i need to make a tool to compress the springs?

There are plenty of places around here that will re-build that clutch
You can take it apart yourself pretty easily and have your shop that grinds the wheel do the pressure plate at the same time.
Bolt it to your flywheel with the disc installed with some longer threaded bolts(2" should do it)and release the eye nuts evenly until they are free.
Just make sure you mark everything before you start so it gets put back in the same position.
You can send me a PM after you get it all back from the machine and I will walk you through re-assembly so it will work right when you get it back.
Or you could just ship it to Tim Hyatt at HRS and be done with it
