herer's a simple question, who and where is the very best restoration shop for E body Mopars on the east coast. i'm looking for a shop with the ability too do a complete frame of restoration that can supply references of their past work.
i need the car completed in less than a year with no excuses and no nickel and diming and no delays. so who is the best of the best?

Nobody. You can't do a frame off restoration on a E body or a B body or a A body or even a C body.East or West coast.Take that back, you can on a Imperial.

If you meant full restorations ( cause Mopars don't have frames ). I'm sure Mike Mancini at instrument specialties ( American muscle car restorations ) in rhode island could help you. I'm not sure on the year time frame though. And of course money must be no object. I have seen his facility and work it is second to none. He has won oe gold at Carlisle.

I saw this coming ... ...

But then again if the frame rails on the unibody are rotted then wouldn't one TECHNICALLY be doing a frame off because they have to swap frame rails ???

Getting the car done in a year should be a piece of cake , look at all the TV REALITY shows that do full restos in a WEEK ...

I agree with Bill. I consider us one of the better shops in the north east and I could not even get it in the shop for almost a year due to already scheduled work. Going to be a hard order to fill.

It is hard enough to get just paint done in that time. It took almost 2 years to get mine painted.

Read the OP question. He's not looking for a frame "off" resto, he wants a frame "of" resto.

Sheesh guys... hammering him for such a small error!

You could contact Mike Ross at B/E&A It seems that he's got the ability to do a full car, perfect factory restoration, in under a year. I think he's also looking to get more into the resto business.

with his experience with E-bodies he certainly knows them and how they go together. He has like 7 of them in his own collection, and most of them are Hemi's, but he did also recently finish up a 71 340 car.

okay guys, clearly this is not the forum for me, i'm not worthy since i might make a spelling error, or perhaps even a grammatical error once in awhile.
how about a frame UP restoration?
if every supposed top mopar shop is booked up for 1-2 years and isn't interested or can't take in a project like this, so be it.
for those that tried to help, which i thought was the Moparts way, thank you. you other guys, not so much.
i'll check the shops on the west coast. i think they have a lot more custom shops out there anyway.

Dan, just remember this when some folk have engine questions... A misplaced decimal point is more meaningful than a misplaced punctuation mark... Thank you for being helpful & not a jackhole like some... FWIW you should give Mike Mancini a call & see what he has to say.. Mike Ross is also a good choice... Good Luck what ever you decide...

Dan what level of restoration? Driver, concourse, Resto mod?

How bad is the car? Rust? Panel replacement?

You can probably handle the motor

Can you have sub assemblies completed such as bumpers upholstery done and ready for final assembly?

There is a duster coming together quickly in the members project area. Check out his thread...

Ok, to be serious,I have been TOLD to do a good job the paint should sit weeks to a month before it get touched to get a nice job that won't look bad down the road, a quick job will show later, and will have to be done over. And when asking, the term is rotisserie, and please make sure they have done mopars before.I saw a GTX that a shop that only did 55,6,and 7 chevs work on, replaced all the pans and trunk floor But they didn't know to support the body by the frame rails.Everything had to be scraped and replaced by someone else.$8,000 wasted.Just be careful. We give everybody down the road, even each other. If money is no object I might could steer you to a shop, nothing in it for me, but don't know if they would take the work. Wouldn't hurt to ask.Send me a PM and I could tell you about them.By the way, why the dead line?

I would not listen to the purists on here that get stuck on punctuation and spelling. They live to find mistakes newbies make on their posts.

I know that the big proven to be good shops will be busy for a year or two. Check out the local proven shops that can build the car you want. I know of one shop here in Missoula, MT that can build the car you want. It is tough to find shops that are willing to do restoration work when they concentrate on insurance claim work.

Welcome to the site. Don't pay attention to the punctuation police.

I had my 68 Hemi Road Runner done by these guys
Clark Classic Restorations

Mine was a partial resto meaning I got the body back after bodywork and paint. However they do total restorations as well. Their body guy posts on here every now and then. They are located in Greenville, NC.

Give them a call.
