After moving some some wheels and tires around over the weekend I finally got around to actually checking the dates on an spare wheel/tire out of a low mileage'71 SSP (pulled spare ~14 years ago)

The wheel is a 14" black steelie with K2 over 9 and 10 14 around valve stem (with 55 to the right of 14)

The tire is a F78-14 Goodyear Custom Power Cushion Polyglas (Dual Narrow Whitewall) with a date stamp of UK0524B

From the date on the wheel and tire this seems to be a late '69 spare? I can't confirm if the spare was ever replaced in the car but it looked everybit untouced in the trunk (mat/spare/jack) to think otherwise.

Does this dating seem resonable for a 71 b body with a SPD 11/70?

What is the "usual" dating on the spare vs SPD (or dates on the other 4 wheels) people have found??

14" black steel wheel K2/9 10 -o- 14 55
K2 - Kelsey Hayse plant 2
9 - 1969
10 - October
-o- - valve stem
14 - 14th day of month (10/14/69)
55 - 5.5" wide wheel

F78-14 Goodyear Custom Power Cushion Polyglas (Dual Narrow Whitewall) UK0524B
U - 1969
K - October
0 - ?
5 - Gadsden, AL
24B - ?

What plant was the SSP from? E-Los Angeles G-St. Louis R-Windsor?
The dates tire & wheel seem about a year early for a 11/70 '71 Satellite.
14" "ROAD" or "RALLYE" wheels on the car? Do you have a broadcast sheet?

It was a St. Louis built car with road wheels. I never found a sheet in the car before I sold it.

I would agree from the dates it seems like an too early of a spare for this car which was strange as the jack assembly appeared like it was never removed/used?

Thanks for the info!
