it is on my 78 road runner stock 318 2bbl lean burn removed previous owner installed pertronix, when it is hot like driving to a cruise in tonight shut it down an hour or so later go to start fires up but will stall out then cranks over and over have to hold pedal to the floor to start it and can tell it is flooded smell raw gas bad any ideas where to go with it???

Could be heat vaporizing gas in the bowl into the intake especially if running E10.

Sounds like carb problem to me...a hour later the car would have cooled off?
Sounds like gas is dripping into the motor while it's sitting, stuck needle and seat??

Sounds like the "hot soak" is boiling the gas out of the carb and into the manifold. I'd start with a thick (1/2"+) insulating carb gasket.
