Looking at a car with 4:10's How hard is it to change the ratio to something higher And what would you recommend for a cruiser

The tallest gear you could get is a 3.54 and that would work out good. Now changing the gears in a dana is something I would not attempt if I had no experience with one. Let someone with experience do it.

3.54 is the tallest common gear. Someone said Ford had a 3.21 a few years back.
this is not a diY job, special tools to spread the case, press the bearing and measure gear clearance.

With some tall tires it will work OK.
