My '76 440 has the 100A alternator wich means it's mounted on the nuclear strength brackets. It also has the stock RV2 compressor. I want to swap in a Sanden-style. I am hoping to find out several things first.

1. Do the RV2 and the Sanden-style use the same mounting brackets?
2. Are the pullies the same so I can use the same belts.
3. Will it align up correctly with my crank pulley and alternator pully or will I have to do something with the brackets and or pullies.
4. If the Sanden-style uses it's own brackets, will there be alignment issues?
Or am I making this more complicated than it really is?

You must use all new brackets belts hoses and maybe pulleys. It's not as bad as it seems, I got all my AC stuff from JR at BPE. He really knows his pulleys and brackets when I talked to him. Mine was bolt on with no alinement issues. But I did buy everything from him includng pulleys. He had me measure the thickness of my crank damper and then he knew just what I needed on my 440 and the same deal with my 340..FWIW AC is so nice.

He was going to be my first call. I just wanted to get some up-front info so I wouldn't waste his time.
Thanks
