Looking for a PPG formula that will match the factory paint.I had a omni formula and a prophet formula neither was close enough.

my car is painted in PPG and I checked it (and Dupont) in Base/Clear vs. an untouched sample from my front window channel; I was pleased with the match.

PPG's code is 43786 but I'm unclear if it is the same number in every paint line they have.

It seems every paint match you've had made doesn't match? ....are you using the same guy to do the mixes/spray outs?

I've seen my share of bad/inexperienced paint mixers over the years

and if that's not the problem, what value shade/base are you spraying over?...a lot of variables when it comes to painting...color can be so influenced by base shade/value, coverage, technique, etc, etc

Why don't you ask Domingo what he used?
