Just got car back from the body shop,it has the triangular satin black stripe from nose of car to cowl. Trying to find the correct paint to match the scoop with the decal. This is for my Drag car. I am installing the 4.5" twin snorkle from AAR fiberglass to give the carb & Indy intake some clearance but I'm trying to keep it as stock appearing as possible. Thanks in advance for any help-Randy

Hmmm.. On FABO I answered this question similar to you Adam, and I was told flat out I was wrong. Is it actually not painted then?

I had one of those many years ago and it was white, not black.
100% completely unpainted white smooth finish

I always figured they were painted till Scott said otherwise. For the record Ive never owned an original scoop and I would probably paint it if I did.

The scoop I got from AAR is gray colored jell coat. I just think it would be best to match the finish of the satin black stripes on the side of the car and the large satin black decal on the hood.
