I think Dave at ECS had a limited amount of them.

What year? NOBODY is repoping them correctly one with the bump on them. You have to find used or NOS. And I don't know when they quit the bump.

If you're asking me, I have 2 1970 regulators with late 69 date codes for an early '70 car, and a couple that are blank. You can have them coded for your year. They are either NOS or used that have been tested and refinished. ECS did a couple of the date coded ones for me years ago.

Do you know what year the quit putting them on? The dealer didn't have them. Also, have you ever been able to talk one apart and fix it?

Just wanted to update my post:
Ordered my regulator on the weekend and received it today!!!
It looks excellent and has the proper date and dimple on it that my Mopar Restoration part didn't.

Buying from SAWDUST was pleasant and he is an asset to our board.
Heck he even included the correct mounting bolts!!!!
Thanks very much Dave!

1972 when they came out with electronic ignition.
BTW they are kind of hard to take apart as everything is potted in a form of epoxy.

I'm sorry, I didn't make my self clear. The 69 Imperials were the first with electronic voltage regulators, then in 70 everything else got them. What I should have said was when did they stop putting the bump in the housing on the assembly line cars.

I should have been less opaque in my reply, 1972 was when they lost the dimple when Chrysler switched over to electronic ignition. Also the stamping ink was changed to yellow. I have a few shot 1972 examples in which the font was the same, just yellow and no dimple.
You are correct in the imperials got the dimpled electronic regulators but they were a three wire regulator, of course they still ran points and not electronic ignition in 1969.
