I only wish there was a top dog Challenger to join the party...

It should be kinda cool anyway. The 650 horse Shelby should have the Zl-1 covered, but I am hearing the Shelby is more geared for high top end speed. Either way, it would be cool to check it out. Best 2 out of 3. If I didnt have anywhere to go, I might have taken a ride down there to take in some action and check this out..


Let's just hope they are truly "as delivered" and haven't been breathed on...

I think the Shelby's are manual transmission. Most guys can't drag race a manual trans too well. Expect the guy to do a very bad job.

Good point..

I thought I did see where a guy made a pass with one at Atco a few weeks ago and ran IIRC 11.30 @ 129.

I saw a vid of a new Shelby (650 hp) and I believe it ran 11.60's @ 125 or so mph. These cars have the power for 10's but are not set up for drag racing and they need a good driver. I would think a new Shelby with a good driver should be good for easy mid 11's. I dont know anything about the new ZL1. Ron
